Pain Relief with RAPID NFR

What is RAPID NeuroFascial Reset?

Who wants pain relief from RAPID NFR?  Wait – what exactly is it?  RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is a new soft tissue, movement based, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous system’s role in alleviating pain, tension and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.  Would you like to know more? Read on!

RAPID is the brainchild of Sherry and Rob Routledge who are massage therapists from Alberta.  Sherry studied neuroscience in university.  She has used that knowledge along with her massage therapy training to help develop this amazing technique.  So what kinds of things can be helped with RAPID?

What Conditions Can Be Helped With RAPID?

  • Migraines/Headaches
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Back Pain & Low Back Pain
  • Sciatica
  • Knee Pain
  • Sacroilliac Dysfunction (SI Joint pain)
  • Golfer’s and Tennis Elbow

What Does it Feel Like?

Every session is a combination of examination and treatment.  The RAPID provider (me) uses his/her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves.  Hypersensitive areas are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.

RAPID sessions may be uncomfortable during the movement phase of the treatment but it only lasts for a few seconds at a time.  This occurs as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function.  In other words, as a practitioner, I’m applying pressure to certain areas and “lighting up” your nervous system so it talks to your brain.  Then your brain can say “Hey, we have a problem over there; we should go fix it!”

Why Choose RAPID-NFR?

I was hesitant when I first heard about this technique because I know that it is uncomfortable to receive.  However, once I saw the results after a few treatments, I was all in.  The way that I think about it is this:  A client is already experiencing pain from something, what’s a few more minutes of being uncomfortable?  And if I can help alleviate the pain associated with plantar fasciitis or sciatic pain, I’m definitely going to help.

Clients choose RAPID because of the “rapid” response to treatment.  Treating the body at the neurological level stimulates a reprogramming of the tissue – tight muscles relax, range of motion is restored, and pain is alleviated.  This helps active individuals quickly get back to life and living!  It’s great to get pain relief with RAPID NFR!

How Many Sessions Does it Take to get Pain Relief with RAPID NFR?

This is a great question and every client will experience it differently.  Most painful conditions are greatly alleviated in 2-8 sessions.  I usually combine some RAPID into my Fascial Stretch appointments depending on the needs of the client.  Are you ready to feel better?
